Gin is supposed to have a second chance, but then it seems that he completely throws it away, and it is Hitsugaya Toshiro that is sent after him, only to find reality skewed... No one expected to see Gin again nor did they expect him to be pardoned for his crimes. Instead of having a good Valentine's Day, Rangiku finds herself dealing with some bitter feelings and a young taicho who is confused about her actions when in regards to Gin as to him forgiving should be simple. The falling of the snow is peaceful, but the war the Quincy and Shinigami finished fighting was not. Toshiro's left emotionally broken while his fukutaicho Rangiku refuses to wake from her coma. Isane's dealing with a major loss to her division, and Bazz-B's figuring out what it means for the Shinigami and Quincy to live side by side with each other despite the differences the two sides have long held. Death meant ties were broken, but new times can be created, and lost ones found. Disclaimer - I don't own Bleach. Note - Tite Kubo said all blood relations would be revealed by the time Bleach finished, and I had fun guessing the hidden family ties. The non-canon family ties are based off these guesses. Story is also AU as of chapter 644 of Bleach.

Rangiku's not seen him in over a year, nor did she expect to ever see him again. He's always taken her though for a wild ride, and she never expected the turns the path would take. Disclaimer - I don't own Bleach.

Matsumoto Rangiku feels she's done nothing for the child she gave birth to. In Hitsugaya Toshiro's mind Matsymoto Rangiku represents a woman of great strength, and he feels he owes her his life. The child taicho finds himself more concerned with memories which may just be blatant fulfillment on his part, and if said memories are real Toshiro must reconcile with various fears concerning said memories. The two struggle with their relationship while struggling with everyone else around them struggles with the after effects of the war with the Quincy. An accident happens at Mayuri's lab to the young captain of the tenth division. If hitting puberty as a male wasn't bad enough... or gross enough... for the young taicho, things are worse now that Hitsugaya Toshiro is female. It's now, really, really gross.

Everyone knew that Gin was guilty of being a traitor to Soul Society. According to Rangiku though he had played the role of double traitor and quite intentionally. Nobody though knows how deep Gin's guilt actually goes.Not even the small captain of the tenth division can imagine that Gin is guilty of child abandonment of all things, something that his trial isn't even for. Even this isn't as it seems, the man who always wore a smile as a mask hiding his real self pulling constant surprises at each turn. (Disclaimer - I don't own Bleach.) Notes - This story is an AU to the Winter War arc where Gin is picked up alive and a trial is held for him. Toshiro lived with the stigma of being different all his life. The fear of rejection made him hold back on letting people know his real self and at times he questioned whether being himself was o.k. Then came the decision to face said fears for one person despite the fact the fears wouldn't go away over night. He's also not going to let the fact people will likely tease him for his feminine side get in the way... or at least that is the plan. Sometimes people need a little extra help. (Disclaimer - I don't own Bleach.) Note - This works with the theory that Toshiro is Gin and Rangiku's child. In Japan there are traditional dances that are danced by males, ones that are done by females and ones that are done by both. Toshiro can't shake the thoughts of himself being dead from his head despite the fact the many people who care about him managed to bring him back from his zombified state. Rangiku having remembered something important during the war has to watch the former child taicho and try to prevent his self destructive tendencies that are the result of the trauma he has undergone. Those are either different then the version in the fic or non-existent.
