Alexander Green is a US Air Force scientist and the designer of an advanced, dimensional-energy weapon platform. During a system test, Alex dies from a power surge, his consciousness ripped away and transmitted across space. Somehow reanimated on board an alien starship and trapped on the galaxy's far side, Alex is thrust into a terrible war and tormented by a vicious being. And though amazed by the discovery of extraterrestrial life, Alex's knowledge of human existence unravels after learning Earth is the target of an alien attack. To save humanity from extermination, Alex will be faced with a choice: adhere to human scientific theory or rely on power he has always judged to be fantasy.
