This is a love story between newt and a girl glader named tiana. This will have things from the book and movie and also my imagination. Newt isn't mentioned until the 2nd chapter but isn't a main character until the 3rd chapter onwards, this is to build up tianas character and the glade first. This story goes at a slow pace. There are other things going on so read the tags so you know what your getting into. There may be things that trigger people so don't feel abliged to carry on reading. My grammar and spelling is bad so I hope you don't mind that and enjoy the book. :) Updates are random due to GCSEs so sorry in advance I do not own the maze runner nor all the characters or all of the plot - credit to the amazing auther James Dashner

A temple of numbers explores a brief day in the life of Eleyn and Aesha - two highschool students. Their insecurities are based on the two main lenses we judge people by - their looks and their intelligence. We tend to brand everything with numbers to evaluate our own self worth without realising how it feeds our insecurities. We're not meant to be ranked, yet we always compare ourselves to other people. Being a high school student, I see how intensely students care about the numbers on their report, treating 'grades' and 'self-worth' as synonymous. The idea of comparing school to a "temple" is an extended metaphor. Students make a pilgrimage to schools everyday, worshipping the numbers they're fed.
