It's been almost a year since they separated for their own good, but Nick and Charlie can still remember the old days before kids and before all of this life stuff tore them apart and deep down, how much they miss it and won't admit it to each other.

When Nick Nelson starts a fight on the night of the senior formal, he could never imagine the events that would follow, neither what would happen to the life of his life Charlie Spring and the consequences that would come from it.

Nick never thought he would ever want to fall to his knees and beg someone to practically fuck him, but Xu's best friend that just walked in with his girlfriend is making him feel things he's never felt before looking at any girl. Too bad he seems to be not interested...maybe? He's not sure. Talk about mixed signals.

Charlie's life is a far cry from when he used to live in Herne Bay. He's moved to London, lives in the country style house of his dreams, is in a long term relationship with a dog even and his office is in the sky practically. People would kill for this. He'd trade it all for one more September, however, if he had the choice.

Charlie's day is going absolutely fucking miserable. Good thing there's a sneaky surprise waiting on the Sixth Form student when he goes to lunch. As long as they don't get caught that is.

Tao is trying to get along with Nick Nelson. (Really, he is.) Nick is trying to get along with Tao Xu. (It's bloody hard.) It's all for Charlie's benefit anyway, so this isn't about either of them, but when they suddenly get trapped together in the elevator of the hotel they're staying in, it's all too convenient that they start arguing to pass the time.

When Nick leaves for university after his senior year, Charlie's left behind in Herne Bay for the foreseeable future. However, when Nick videocalls him a couple of months after he's settled in, Charlie's surprised to see a much different person on the other end of the phone, one that doesn't exactly look like the person who left and worries him deeply.

The mornings never used to be his favourite. Then they were.

In a world where humans have spirits shaped like dragons, one boy without one suddenly find themselves falling hard and falling fast. However, whether it's the heat of the flames inside their chests or on their backs is left to be figured out. [Or, the one where literally everyone has a pet dragon made from their energy and Nick's dragon likes to be with Charlie who doesn't have one, to the point where it's ridiculous...or embarrassing. Or both.]

It's safe to say out of all the situations Nathan's found himself in, this really has to make the top of the list. If he could stop laughing to acknowledge it and Youssef's quite embarrassed face that is.

Nick's doing his best to make sure his Mum is looked after by getting a job after class, but when the coffee shop he practically lives in suddenly gets a new customer than the regulars, Nick's world is suddenly shaken up and may never be the same. Charlie doesn't have the faintest idea what had happened between his Mum leaving the house to take Oliver on his school camping trip and Tori staying over at a friend's house before he made the trip from upstairs to downstairs in his funk, but he knows one thing. He does /not/ own the dog just chilling on his couch right now.

Nick fucked up. Like, really well and truly fucked up. He doesn't care that the wildflowers are left abandoned on the doorstep like some carless postie's thrown them in the yard. Flowers are replaceable. Charlie fucking isn't.

Prompt: "I have a panic attack disorder. While having an attack one day, I called my boyfriend because I was scared and alone. He hung up the phone as soon as I said that and was over in no time to comfort me. He doesn't have a car. He lives 10 miles away. HE RAN."

Elle needs some personal comfort, so Charlie ditches school for the day to be with her and also indulge in a pastime hidden from most. If only he'd remembered that Nick was coming over that afternoon for a study date. This is going to be so awkward...right?

this is my first time EVER writing fanfiction, so please correct me on anything!!!!!! - basically just how I think nick and charlies life would be a few years later on after both are back from uni (since Charlie is younger and nick finnished before Charlie) their ages are 23 and 24, and own their own flat a few blocks away from nicks old house. the story will be written in either nicks, Charlies, or whatever extra character is there's POV. I'll probably update/write atleast once a week (if I can😭 ... and there won't be a designated time either it's just when I get the chance to) There will be no detailed smut BUT there will be indications to sexual topics. (I feel uncomfortable writing that stuff so if that's what ur here for I'm incredibly sorry) but a topic I will go HEAVY on is angst. you will definitely be crying by the end of this one pal. 😋
