Would Marik turn his back on an innocent soul that was under threat of being sent to the Shadow Realm? Marik Ishtar is a new man, but not a totally free one. There are members of the Rare Hunters who are unsatisfied with the downfall of Marik's scheme. They want either their payment or their rare cards back, but he no longer has many of the cards he bought, stole, or traded from them. In an effort to tie up loose ends, Marik goes on a quest of his own to try and win back the rare cards he owes to his dealers. This is how Marik runs into Lily, an orphaned girl with a past as mysterious as she is. With Yami Bakura on the hunt for innocent souls to feed to the Shadow Realm, Lily's was on the list and Marik, riddled with the guilt of his past, will not allow him to take her. (Yeah, the description is a work in progress... :/)
