When Madoka became the law of cycles, she left a portion of her memories and power to a group of three magical girls, who would one day return them to her. Sayaka Miki, Nagisa Momoe, and Rei Asano. However, when a new, malignant force arises from the darkest depths of the soul gem of one of Rei's closest allies, the Law of Cycles unravels. Trapped with memories of a forgotten time, and abilities she originally shouldn't even have, she is living a life of two worlds previously collided, having to conceal exactly how much she knows in the eyes of Akemi Homura, the new "God" of this world, as she tries her best to live a normal, inconspicuous life.
