This story takes place around the time Gintoki, Takasugi, and Katsura go and join the final years of the Joui War. The prologue is about Gintoki, Takasugi, and Katsura preparing to leave, and you stopping them, telling them to stay. There are many reasons you don't want them to go, but the main one is that you don't want to lose anyone else anymore. But someone has to go rescue Shoyou-Sensei.
