I never realised how wrong I was until I had to feel it in my bones. Or maybe I wasn't wrong. Maybe I just made things harder or maybe I was just scared. He was the perfect man, but maybe he wasn't the one for me. I probably sound like I am confused, and I'll admit I am. Maybe I was just expecting someone to fix this, to solve my problems. I was waiting for someone to make things right until I realised I was the only one who could. I needed to figure out what I wanted and what I needed, because sometimes what you want isn't what you need. Maddie jest zwykłą, przeciętną dziewczyną. Pracuje w sklepie muzycznym i śpiewa w pubie, żeby odłożyć trochę pieniędzy. I wtedy poznaje jego. Powiedzmy, że on nie jest już taki zwykły, bo przecież nie możecie powiedzieć, że śpiewanie na stadionach i uczestniczenie w ceremoniach rozdania nagród jest takie zwyczajne. Chyba to właśnie dlatego ona nie mogła go znieść. Myślała, że jest typowym aroganckim facetem, który myśli, że może wszystko. Ale był inny powód, dla którego nie chciała, żeby on się do niej zbliżał, o którym on nie wiedział. Jednakże, jednego jestem pewna: oni wcale nie byli od siebie tak różni jak myśleli. Oboje kochali muzykę, mieli wspólną pasję, oboje mieli silne osobowości.
