After being frightened by Charles and Faust for good reason, she runs down the streets of Paris before finding another young woman who shares her fate. Le Comte lets her stay in his mansion, but the door through time has disappeared, and no one seems to know why. And to top her misery off, she meets Vlad again, and finds a little boy in the town-a little boy she wants to protect.
