Seeing the brighter side

Complex as life gets there are always lessons to be learned, mostly these lessons are learned through heart break, love, parents, environment, and most importantly choices we make. Here are some short stories straight from MY book of life along with the lessons that I took from it. In this book you will find true stories of my life from ages nine to 34 (My present age). Be prepared to go through stories of drunken times, gun fights, tearful confessions, friendships, motherhood, lesbian pride, depression, and sex. Hopefully it helps one of you through a similar experience, gives you a great laugh or a good cry.

Chi chi, a 16 year old girl who undergoes dramatic changes from middle school to highschool. She looses the glasses, wears makeup, changes her whole wordrobe. All because of a guy. But she soon realises that she's more into her boyfriends sister then her boyfriend himself.

In the grey heart of London, Emma, a 28-year-old graphic designer at "Innovate Design", lives a life as muted as her office and flat. Her world is one of routine and hiding, her passion for art her only escape from her mother's controlling expectations. But everything changes with the arrival of Nina, a vibrant freelance artist fresh from her travels around the world. Nina is everything Emma isn't - colorful, adventurous, and unapologetically herself. Their forced collaboration on a new project ignites an "opposites attract" dynamic, where their starkly different lives and artistic styles begin to intertwine. As they work together, creating art that blends their visions, they start to uncover layers of each other's personalities and secrets, finding unexpected common ground beneath their contrasting exteriors. But as they grow closer, both women are challenged by the expectations that have shaped their lives.
