Poem * Kind of like an emotional cleansing kind of poem, ya know? Sometimes you just need to let it out but there isn't a punching bag or a good place to scream nearby, so you open up your laptop. Highly reccomend that method. Let me know what you think! I'm always looking to improve my writing :)

"I would just like to say that we've all come a long way and I'm proud of each and everyone of us." Those last words he uttered to us as his senior year came to an end. It's now our job to carry on his tradition. But how the hell do we do that? How the hell did they become the memories on our posters and yearbook pages? How did we all lose contact? How is it that that we all fail to stay in touch when we know the impact we made on each other? Tell me, how is it fair that we are left with the legacy those before us set? How do we become the next role models when we aren't ready to let let go of the ones we have? Those who left, placed their marks onto us. Now it is our turn to do the same. Are we up for the challenge?

"You aren't going to the river again are you?" her mother, Finsie, demanded. "Mother, the best clubs are there. The music is amazing." "Well see that you stick to the clubs and stay away from the mud. And I don't want to hear that you've been consorting with any Eternatists, do you hear me?" Following on from the story, The Bitten Submarine, this is a story of the most unusual friendship, which thrives and endures despite vast cultural differences, racism, political tensions and open hostility to anyone seen as 'other'. The Bitten Submarine (https://www.wattpad.com/story/405344145-37-the-bitten-submarine) needs to be read first or the tensions and experiences of the two friends featured in the story won't make any sense at all. Be warned, the author was in tears writing parts of this story, and certain sections still make him cry. It has a moment of absolute heartbreak, so keep some tissues handy. This story contains fantasy-fiction parallels to racism. Note that the cover image does not belong to me.
