After king aultrcay, the king of melromarc, summoned all four cardinal heroes during an international assembly of all the nations of the world. It shocked every single one of them including the queen herself who is the true ruler of melromarc. All nations of the world was just about to declare war on melromarc especially the kingdom of siltvelt who is the exact opposite and the main enemy of melromarc until the queen has to go to every single nation to decrease their rage. The queen had to go to every nation of the entire world to create a temporary peace treaty using her diplomatic skills on them. However, the kingdom of siltvelt cannot be persuade by the queen and has no interest of creating peace treaty between the two kingdoms. Thus, it means they want total war. Once the queen realized all hopes are lost on creating a peace agreement with the kingdom of siltvelt. She thought of an idea that will make siltvelt not declare war on them. She leaves siltvelt as soon as possible by encountering a few attempts of assassination. What is this idea of the queen? What's on her mind? And what is the involvement of our boy naofumi over here? Being summoned to a new world as the controversial Cardinal Hero, the Shield Hero, Naofumi has struggled for most of his time ever since beginning his other life as his new world's protector. Though through the aid and caring support of Raphtalia and Filo, who have managed to find a special place in his heart, Naofumi has managed to get by and establish himself as a true hero for the people while fighting off the Catastrophic Waves that threaten to destroy the world. However, whilst engaging in battle and continuing to nurture and strengthen his Cardinal Shield, certain conditions seemed to have been met as the shield bestows upon Naofumi something else to aid him in his fights, a being that seemed to be resting within the shield and waiting for its wielder to unlock its power so that they may make themselves known to whomever was in possession of this Cardinal Shield.
