PrismChronicle
*Prologue*
The world of Arkaelis did not end in fire or ice, but in a cataclysmic "Shattering" that rewrote the fundamental laws of existence. Driven by a desperate longing for a world without pain or uncertainty, the realm's sworn protector harnessed the volatile Null Code to seize dominion over reality. His attempt to forge a "True Realm" of perfect order instead tore the world asunder, snapping the spine of gravity and scattering the continents into the infinite Aether Abyss. This figure, now known to history as the Fractured King, dissolved into a swirl of prism motes, leaving behind a fractured sky and a prophecy that promised a final, world-ending return.
In the wake of this collapse, the survivors inhabit the Shards-floating landmasses suspended in a void and connected only by fragile bridges of light. Life in the Shards is a constant struggle against the encroaching instability of the Aether; the ground is no longer a certainty, and the very laws of physics flicker like a dying flame. The source of this instability lies in the loss of the Null Crown, the sentient anchor of the King's new reality, which vanished into the chaos during the world's rebirth. While the world has adapted to its broken state, the bridges are fraying, and the Shards are beginning to drift further into the dark, threatening a second and final silence.
Now, as the echoes of the King's power begin to stir once more, a new bearer of the Null Code awakens among the ruins. This individual must navigate a landscape of prism-corrupted wilderness and warring factions who either fear the return of the Shattering or seek to weaponize it. Hunted by those who remember the King's tyranny and sought by those who worship his vision of perfection, the new bearer must find the lost Crown before the prophecy consumes what remains of existence. It is a journey through a beautiful, broken graveyard of a world where the line between salvation and total dominion is as thin as a shard of glass.
