Unable to get over losing her husband in a bloody civil war years ago, Dr. Melissa Mpanda goes back to her home country in a bid to help her countrymen survive a second civil war and hopefully find the consolation that has evaded her for years. However, this isn't a simple ethnic war, powers are at play, turning the wheels of greed and influence in a gratuitous show of violence and selfishness that will shake the country and all those who try to fight their hand of evil. Under the backdrop of chaos, betrayal and mayhem the limits of human grief and triumph are pushed.

Lithium R. is a quiet woman who spends most of her days at work where she sorts through long lists of personal criminal accounts. In her sorting unit, she is supposed to focus, but a new co-worker who has an angelic face with a demonic motive may cause more of a distraction than anything else in her life. Du haut de l'escalier, il me tend la main. Plus que quelques marches à franchir et je serai près de lui. Autour de lui, un halo de lumière si blanche qu'elle m'éblouit. Je ne peux pas aller vers lui. Je me retourne une attirance irrésistible vers l'escalier me pousse à gravir encore une marche. J'entends alors le cri éperdu de ma sœur. Soudain je m'arrête il m'appelle me tend la main le cri continue dans mes oreilles. Je deviens folle.
