Life is not always easy. Sometimes you need to hold onto the things that make your life meaningful to yourself. When it comes down to it, you are the only one that really matters. At the young age of twelve I found myself on the streets with nothing. I had many aimless nights just trying to stay warm. I soon found that any talent you have can mean the difference between a tough night, or an easy one. I was an excellent gymnast, so I started doing back-flips for quarters to get money to eat at all the twenty-four hour greasy spoons around town. It was tough trying to figure out ways to be able to take up a table all night without getting the server mad at you. I borrowed a pen from a server and started writing on the napkin. after a few years (nine to be precise) I had a lot of poetry in my pockets.
