In the future, the Isles of Warm face internal discord. The Nation is turning its back on a millennium of hereditary Templar rule and embracing democracy. In the midst of this political upheaval, truths larger than their society bubble forth. Ruled by a set of Commandments handed down by the Four--their gods. The people of the Isles will learn that the system they rejected is the very thing that manipulates and controls them. Thrown into a dark age of technological ignorance, the Isles of Warm are perilously close to annihilation. Adorjan Corr is a Templar, one of twelve rulers, called back by a mysterious and ill-timed Cadmium Command. His co-ruler Taav Iron, both from the far eastern Cretencia, doesn't trust the Command. It's a forgery. Avanna, the capital, and the Demophytes are looking to overturn the current political structure. Meanwhile, in the South, the Dark Night is fast approaching and a new menace rises from the sea: the mercreatures. In the North, Josse North has sent his father, a Templar, with his co-ruler to Avanna certain of their death. Josse and Wendy, his sister, face off against each other in a complicated dance of lies and betrayal for control of the political future of Indigo Isle. Chapters posted weekly.
