Completely unaware of it, Muse are unintentionally droning their audiences through their music. The trio were originally sent to earth by an alien race in danger of extinction with the goal to turn as many humans into drones and use them as killing machines to wipe out humanity, thus leaving Earth as a new home for this 'alien' species. Main roles switch between female-teen-fan and 38 year-old front man as they try preventing fans across the world from being droned and potentially save the human race.

Twenty-one year old Matthew Bellamy has just started to hit fame as his band, Muse, release their first album. A life-changing discovery shocks him to the core, leaving him questioning if anything in his life isn't a lie. Secrecy! Adventure! Friendship! Extraterrestrials! Little does he know that his life is more meaningful than just that of a British shepherd boy.

ON HIATUS* A young man joins the government's army in order to fend for himself. He trains to become a drone; an elite killing machine with no remorse. As his emotions dwindle away, he realizes what is happening, defects from the system and escapes, but will he ever be the same? A girl has been hiding from the Drones for a long time. After her village was destroyed in an attempt to keep rebellions down, she is forced to go on the run, pursued by the Drones. When the two accidentally cross paths and join forces, the spark they create causes a revolution no one thought possible. With the help of some unlikely heroes, can they revolt? Or will the drones stamp them out before they can act? Based off the album Drones by Muse.
