We Meet in the Margins That summer feels longer than it should. School is over, results are done, and all that's left is waiting-for acceptance letters, for life to begin, for something to finally change. In the middle of that quiet, uncertain time, Amritha and Vihaan both find their way back to the same old local library, trying to fill their days with books instead of overthinking everything. They've known each other for years. Same school. Same classrooms. Same constant competition. Marks, ranks, arguments-it was always something. Being around each other never felt easy, never felt soft. But inside the pages of borrowed books, something different begins. A small note left in the margin. A reply. Then another. What starts as casual, almost careless scribbles slowly turns into conversations they didn't know they needed. Thoughts they've never said out loud. Pieces of themselves they've never shown anyone else. And somehow, without realizing it, they begin to understand each other in a way they never did before. There's just one thing they don't know. They're writing to each other. In real life, they're still the same people who clash over the smallest things. Still holding onto old impressions, old annoyances. Still completely unaware that the person who feels so easy in the margins is the same one they struggle to face in reality. As the summer passes and the letters they're waiting for draw closer, so does the truth. And when it finally comes, Amritha and Vihaan are left with something neither of them expected- Not just the question of where they're going next, but whether they're brave enough to see each other differently.
