""Hi! Can I help you with something, sir?" She brushed off her shock of literally running into someone and almost falling flat on her face and now had her full attention directed towards the attractive man standing in front of her. Colton was taken back by her slight country accent, it was going to take him a while to adjust from the familiar New York-er accents. "I was looking for Chief Watson if he's available. I'm the new transfer from New York, Colton Smith," he held his hand out to Amelia, initiating a proper introduction. She slipped her small hand into his rough, well-worked ones, "and please, no need to call me 'sir'." They shook hands and Colton was surprised had how professional and strong her grip was, not light and as weak as he had thought. "Amelia Banks." She smiled as he attempted to hide the slight surprise on his face. She was used to men assuming she was a weakling and a 'damsel in distress' and she was motivated to show them she was not only as good as them but better. "But you can call me Mia. Sorry for almost runnin' you over, I was just finishing up some paperwork on these stupid things," she motioned toward the laptop, "I can show you to Chief Watson's office. He should be just finishing up with some reports." Amelia turned on her heel and led him up the stairs." Little do they know, that would be the start of a budding friendship, but will Colton be able to hold back and stop himself from overstepping his bounds, or will Amelia need to show him that she can hold her own.
