This is my take on how an Inkling in Splatoon 2 may have changed to an Octoling, but with some Greek mythology flair (from a Splatoon stand point, it's not fact based). As well as a theory on cephalopods who wanted a massacre or evolution of bring mammalians back and sanitization of all cephalopods. Deaths also works differently, the only case where you can get killed and respawn is with a Spawner tied to you (figuratively speaking) but without it cephalopods can die with no return.
