It has been five years since Ethan and James defeated the creature and broke the curse binding their town to the forest. Life has returned to normal-at least on the surface. But deep down, the shadows of the past still linger in their minds. Ethan, now in college, begins having vivid nightmares of the creature's return, while James discovers strange symbols appearing in the forest near their hometown. When people start disappearing near the woods again, the two friends are reluctantly drawn back to the place they vowed never to enter. With Mrs. Bennett's cryptic warnings haunting them, they realize the forest has not forgotten, and something even darker may have awakened in the creature's absence. This time, they're not just fighting for survival-they're fighting to stop the forest's curse from spreading beyond their town.
