Hi! My name is Lou. I am a slave and I am as dark as a slave can be. I am 6 ft. tall and 16 years old. I work on a plantation in Alabama with my momma. We cut wood all day long. It's a hard job and we never get any thanks or praise. I don't get paid and I don't even get a real blanket. It gets real cold some nights. My momma and I are gonna make our way to freedom and this is our story.

It's about an honorable historical woman

Kate Smith is a 16 year old African American slave living in Prince George's County, Maryland in 1850. When her master decides to sell her to the disgusting, vile John Williams, she knows that she can't go with him. For her own safety and that of her family, Kate calls on the Underground Railroad conductor Harriet Tubman for help. In a fight for her freedom and dignity, Kate writes down her experiences in slavery in this novella so that one day, the world may know her story. (Originally a novella for an English project, but I had fun writing it so I decided to publish it.)

This story is About slavery but in an alternate timeline where Harriet Tubman didn't succeed in moving the slaves through the railroad

So this was a narrative story I had to do for my English class and I thought it was pretty good. So why not publish it.
