Simple and predictable, that's all seventeen-year-old Adaline White asks for. Unfortunately, life handles her anything but.

Being the oldest daughter of hard-working parents, it's expected of her to take care of her seven-month-old brother Louis -- a little dwarf in her eyes. Add to that her thirteen-year-old sister with her hermit life and 'I don't care' attitude, and her frustration may skyrocket.

Balancing all this with school, the Adonis that is Mason Wright -- whom she can't help but look from affar -- and the inceasing amount of time she starts to spend with her best friend's hot brother Michael, may be, after all, too troublesome for her simple inclinations.
