Aj and Lashaye live with they mama in a small 2bedroom apartment in one of the nicer neighborhoods. Aj aint tryna be no gang banger he just tryna be successful so his mama can have the life she deserve. Its hard though. Everyone around him is in some type of gang. Will Aj be able to keep his self promise of becoming a better man than his father was, or nah? Lashaye on the other hand is just beginning to start high school. What she doesn't know is that her life will change DRAMATICALLY on the first day. Aj and Lashaye just two Black kids trying to get they mama out the hood. Why life got to be so damn hard for them. They always been close but will all this inner city drama tear them apart? Poor mama. She works 12 long hours a day to give her kids the life they deserve and now they turning on each other?
