Rules. Osred Wailes hates them. They keep him from getting what he deserves. Even after years of study Osred is not allowed to call himself a conjurer. He cannot work, he cannot marry, he cannot live anywhere other than his small room on the bridge. All because of rules. Conjurers built the bridge so they make the rules. But Osred is determined to find away around the rules - to find a way off the bridge. And his magic is powerful enough to force them.  This is the backstory to a 2 book fantasy series I'm working on.  After finishing the draft of book one I was a little stuck trying to plot out book two. I thought delving into the history of my world might help "unstick" me - Conjurer's Bridge is the result.  I hope you enjoy it. All comments and constructive criticisms are welcome. I'm hovering over the floor. Rail grabs my hand, and the shock brings me back to him. I lower myself and let go of him. "I will stay until the thief is found. Then I must return to the True One's heaven." I try to smile at Rail to calm him. It works. His green eyes linger on me as I walk away from the balcony and return to the gathering. *** After meeting Jay, Sarah's father is killed, which causes her to accidentally tap into unknown powers. Sarah begins to learn the truth about who Aderes is and how Sarah herself is connected to her. But most importantly, she learns who's been lying to her since the beginning.
