The following poems are a small collection of pieces from my debut chapbook: The Learning: Poetic Reflections on Love and Loss (2009) Your Name Productions. It's available on Amazon Kindle for only $2.99, or you can borrow it for Free if your a prime member. It's dedicated to someone who I vilify at times in these poems, but that's certainly not the truth of the situation, she was a victim as well and sadly, we didn't share our grief together. This is very much MY side of the story of a period of life that was the most difficult of my now thirty four years. Some of these were poems of survival almost, needing to vent and articulate the matters of my broken spirit and the loss of all future plans and dreams you make, but they were also a new beginning and the last chapter of the book is Life After Loss, because I know it is possible. The birds always sing after the storm has ended, and so why don't we also, rejoice in what is left! I hope you enjoy these pieces and they prompt you to want to own the book and read the rest of the story. Thank you for your time in reading these.
