Mackenzie lives in the Kingdom of Sydias. Her family owns a local bakery in one of the villages. She thought her life as an 18-year-old was normal, but that is all going to change.

Jackson is the prince of Sydias. Ignored by his father after his mother died, he has few friends. He was trained since childhood to be stone cold in public. He has feelings, but he could've fooled everyone.

There is a competition being held at the castle. The king wants local food for the neighboring kingdom's visit. When this event allows Mackenzie and Jackson to meet, they can't tell what will come next.
