Commander Kiera Kogane, 18, is tasked with piloting a team of scientists to the comet Zaveron to research a mysterious ore found inside. Many doubts plagued the young pilot, but she readily accepted in the hopes of possibly learning more about the disappearance of her brother Keith Kogane, as well as three of her fellow students Pidge, Lance, and Hunk. What awaits her and her team on the comet will change Kiera's life forever.
