It's after the battle of Hogwarts, and Hermione is attending her seventh year, without her best friends. The war has changed her, and turned the wizarding world up on its head. People are grieving, and trying, and rebuilding. Hermione is no different. But she's seeming to have a harder time finding herself and who she is after disregarding her needs in favor of others for so long. Where does that leave her? There's only one person who appears to understand what it's like to feel like you've lost yourself in the shuffle. And so Hermione Granger makes a most unlikely friend: Draco Malfoy. And maybe this friendship is just what they both needed to understand who they are and overcome and challenge their previous outlooks on the world and each other. Maybe what they really needed was each other all along.
