Sequel to Bad Boys Make the Most Noise - if you haven't read the first book, I'd suggest going for it. ~ Aveline's a small town girl from the heart of Paris, working in a Café with repetitive customers though one thing that happened to always change was the color of her short hair. When a rough-looking, gnarly man saunters in with a heavy demand for whisky, she's certain there's more of an underlying problem than mid-day drinking. But prying to figure it out would be nosy - and Aveline wasn't really a curious person - so she fixed up his drink, give or take a few more, and let him do his own thing. Slash hasn't had sincere company since the tragedy of 1986, six years ago, and seeing as everything in his life had crumbled in the dragged out notion of time, the strange barrister with short, crazy hair, intrigues his lonely taste buds. In some sort of unrealistic, alternate, universe; Slash would trade his alcoholism for the taste of this fresh air - named Aveline - and would return to normality. But that would be delusional and absurd. Once an addict, always an addict. False relationships, cheating, chemistry, heated arguments and temptation are only the blurred background noise to the beckoning of the bottle.
