Ruby is a criminal, a dangerous one. She survived off of a career of petty thievery for years, undetected, but one day she did something big. So big that she could never be forgiven, not even by the person she most loved. Ruby was brought into the light and everybody saw her for who she truly was: a criminal. Facing prison, Ruby ran but now she is back in her hometown. Ruby seeks forgiveness that may never come, but the only way that she can do it is from the shadows of her childhood hideout. Then suddenly, Ruby meets Sal, a girl who can create a new identity for Ruby. Undercover as Ray Humble, Ruby goes back into the world and tries to gain forgiveness for herself. But with a perfect new life as a possibility, will Ray want to go back to being Ruby? Or will she get so caught up in her own lie that she becomes Ray altogether, discarding her old life forever?
