The Way They Hear Us is a coming of age story about two girls who come to together to make some of the best music that the world had ever heard.
Cordelia Michaels was destined to be a star from the moment she was born. As, the daughter of famous record producer Devonte Michaels he groomed her to be his labels greatest talent from the moment she could speak. Sure her voice needed work and her raps could use some practice but he was convinced that she had it, the X factor.
Cordelia had the kind of face people wanted to see more and the kind of stage presence that people all around would pay to experience in person. However transitioning her music from teen pop to something much more grown and long-lived was proving difficult. Cordelia and her father both agreed that some growth had to be apparent in her music as she turned 21 but they just hadn't found the right avenue to portray it in. With the fans growing impatient waiting for her to release her new album. The father-daughter duo become desperate in their search for a solution, everything changes when Devonte discovers her....
