Brianna Night is an almost normal 16- year old high school student. She has lived alone with her mother, Emily, since her father died in a car accident. She has a habit to argue, and it gets her sent to the dean's office quite frequently, though she never goes. On one of these occasions, she sees a group of chain smokers. Their leader, Leon Kain, has his sights set on her, now. A string of unfortunate events unravel, leaving Brianna alone, and in complete danger. She finds herself stuck trusting the person who promised to kill her to protect her against things she didn't care to believe in before. Worst of all she is fighting with all her might against a more threatening danger. Falling in love with this monster.
