The light blinds Theressa as she opens her eyes. The light passed through her thin curtains and forced itself into her room, brightening everything in it. Tessa's hands move to her side, instinctevly reaching over to her lover. Cold sheets pressed back. No William. "Damn..." Tessa swears and jumps out of bed, her back aching from all the practice she had gotten the day before. She walked towards the door, which was set ajar.
She cursed again and wrapped her warm hands around the cool metal. The touch sends a shiver down her spine, and she smiles.
