Shikaku and Shikamaru had just recently lost the woman they both loved. Yoshino Nara. She was a loving wife and caring mother. So the loss was hard on both, especially since Shikamaru had just recently turned 3. He was devastated to know he would never see his mother again. The Nara home had become gloomy and no one knew how to cheer up the grieving son and father. All except a sunshine with bright yellow hair.
