Mia Gilbert's parents always fought with each other, then one night, Mia's mom, Anastasia got tired of fighting and decided that she will leave the house in two years so she is basically giving Mia's dad two more years to be with the them then he will never see them again.
After the two years, Mia, her mom and little brothers left Johnson's house, Mia's dad. Anastasia found a house that was in a low price so she took it, without knowing it's history.
