Getting used to a new home is only the start of Kayden the goat's worries. The expectations of his parents weigh heavy, and the annoyance of a mustelid bully discourages him every least convenient time. His nation is changing more than he first believed, and so too is the wider world within him. What makes it well worth it, though, is what he comes to discover under these northern skies. As much a vignette as a romance; a simple but realistic, nostalgic picture of what these years meant; a refresh of the genre, but free of the cynicism that usually comes with such attempts. Started January 2021, revamped twice-over since. Cover art and background by me.
