A ghastly murder kicks off a violent spree of mayhem and sadism, and it's going to take both science and deduction to stop it.
Blastborn is a quiet, old-fashioned city by any measure, so when an invisible force causes normally peaceful folks to kill one another, the police are hard put to stop it. When her cousin is murdered, Arabeth's inquiry reveals an ugly truth about the origin of Blastborn and its progenitors.
Still, it had to stop. Calling in family favours and using her status to persuade gatekeepers isn't something she is comfortable with, but no one else sees what she sees.
Plans for catching an unseen assailant are hard to explain and harder for others to accept. Her best friend since childhood, Samuel Hicks, is a Police Detective who has learned to trust her hunches. I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up.
