Elise was born into a world where supernatural beings didn't exist, at least to her knowledge. All of the stories of werewolves and vampires were known as fiction and myths to her. Elise's grandmother always told her stories of these sorts, especially about the werewolves having their mates. A soulmate who would love you unconditionally. Elise thought that it was something that was too good to be true. Having a relationship with a man scared her, and whenever the subject came up, she would get so embarrassed. She always knew that she actually could wait until the day she meets the love of her life. But little did she know that that day was coming much sooner than she thought.

I've always known that something was different about me, something off. My mom always told me there was nothing wrong with me and that I was very special. I never believed her. I thought this was because of the way that others treated me, as an outcast or an outsider. My parents don't treat me that way, they love me unconditionally. "Elise, you are meant for greater things." Thats what my mom always said to me. I never would have known that one day she'd be right.
