Japan is a young girl,who was raised up in a house, with her mother Patricia, who wants Japan to follow the life that she had set for her. Her Father Benny Sr., who owns is own construction site, but also runs a drug, guns, and money business. She also has four siblings Angela, Benny Jr., Victoria, and Ericka, who chooses their own path. Japan, her siblings, and her childhood friends Rent, Jasmine, and Keisha, grew up on the North side of Oklahoma City, where Japan is destined to become her own woman rather than the women, her mother wants her to be. Because Japan desires the lifestyle that she seen at the age of five, will Japan find her way, or will her desire that she chooses to follow find her.
