This is a story which involves Jeremy and Rose. The two are in love and they wanted to marry each other. Being from religious families, they respected themselves and they never spent together for the two years they were dating. Jeremy kept visiting Rose regularly but they could not be allowed to sit close or talk for a long time. At one point, Jeremy's father complained when he asked him to find a woman and marry. He insisted that he wanted to marry Rose because he had promised to do so. He did not want to go against their promises, being that he was also Pastor. Rose's parents did want her to do other house chores, including preparing a meal when Jeremy was around. Her mother said that could lead to early tasting of what he was to expect when they are married. When the first two years ended and Jeremy decided to set date for their wedding, Rose and her parents were in agreement. However, two months to the actual date, they called Jeremy and they had lengthy talks. With regards to this, they postponed the wedding for another three months. After that period, the wedding was again postponed under unclear reasons and pushed to the following year. Jeremy was still patient, despite pressures he was getting from his parents. During those days, his attempts to make trips to Rose's home as he used to do hit the rock. Her parents said it was their culture to give the bride approximately six months to wedding before meeting them. Finally, the day was set. The Church, family and friends were invited and all gathered to celebrate the wedding. If not Jeremy and his parents, the rest were seeing Rose for the first time. She was already on her wedding gown and none could notice anything. After both exchanged vows, Jeremy was to kiss his bride for the first time in three years. He hugged her tight in front of the Church. Soon as he was about to kiss her, from far a child cried. Rose broke into tears and could not kiss Jeremy anymore. The wedding came to standstill.
