    Jamie thought that when he kissed Tennesse goodbye ten years ago to pursue medical school in the city of Chicago, that he retired from his southern roots for good. The thing about goodbyes is that they don't last forever, and sometimes life has a funny way of bringing you back to the people and places you weren't meant to say farewell to just yet. After his Dad gets sick, Jamie is forced to return to his childhood home of Hartsboro and reacquaint himself with the places and people he left behind. Little does he know, not everyone waiting for him is ready to greet him with a warm welcome; especially not Presley Underwood. 
    
    Presley is as fun-loving as she is kind, but when word gets out that her childhood friend, Jamie Saunders, is making his big debut back in town, her warm nature turns cold. Presley and Jamie have history, and still feeling broken and abandoned from his getaway to the big city, Presley is anything but ready to allow him to charm his way back into her life. Unfortunately, the heart wants what it wants, and she may be in more trouble than she bargained for in trying to turn this familiar face away.
