"Ok, don't slouch, don't snort, don't be informal ever, only speak when spoken to, don't even think about swearing; heck and bloody and dammit count, show little emotion, and never express your opinions if they contradict my parents." He finishes. I burst out laughing.

"So basically, don't be me?!" I say.

He shrugs, "Pretty much."

I miss the flames. I miss the warm tingling sensation it left on my skin. I miss the confidence it brought me, the feeling that as long as I have my flames, I'll always be safe. I feel lonely without it. I was born to make flames, everyone has their purpose in the world, and this is mine. It was mine. It should have been mine.
