Caroline has a secret. She was born with the Black Iris curse, cast upon her grandmother, from a bearded witch, named Madeira Everheart. This curse was passed down to Caroline and causes her to meet the boys of her dreams, who are externally beautiful, yet internally wicked and cruel, and Caroline cannot resist them. However, there is one flower that can reverse the curse (the Ghost Flower), but the rare flower is extremely hard to find. So, as Caroline hunts for this magical Ghost Flower. She is also being hunted by love, in a way that provokes Caroline to put an end to the tainted love, using force.
