Something Fades (One by One)

Basil has always lived amongst monsters, ever since he was very little. Three rules made up his world, with very little exceptions.
1. They were evil.
2. They were liars.
3. They always hurt him, one way or another.
...Until he met them.
Until he slowly realized, maybe the monsters were all in his head.
