Massively interfering in the lives of other beings rarely ends well.
Lord Diavolo must also realize this when he does just that: massively interfering in the life of a being who never asked him to do so. Who didn't even know that the Demon Prince existed.
And with his unwanted 'help' he turns not only one life upside down, but that of many. Including his own.
