An alternate ending to the 2013 movie Man of Steel using characters from The Dark Knight, Batman vs Superman and the movie Fight Club

I thought Man of Steel was great.
But watching Superman kill Zod and make his race extinct, seemed as excessive as the destruction of Metropolis
The original story (the 1st draft of part 1) was the typical farm-boy meets Kryptonian girl and saves the day by proving to Zod that humans have redeeming qualities.
It was only when I thought about what would happen to the narrator, Tyler Durden, after Zod made peace, that I could see the potential for a real story.

I should give advance notice to the readers who may be expecting a dramatic SuperHero versus SuperVillain fight, this is an anti-super, anti-hero story; more akin to Fight Club meets Forrest Gump than the typical Snyder\DC Comic storyline.
It is then a story of a regular-guy who weaves his way through a Meta-Human conflict.
Logically, the story then focuses on 'human' part of the Superhero/Villain characters as well as developing C-Listers (Martha Kent/Lois Lane/Nathan Hardy/Perry White) into characters which are central to the storyline.

Rated Mature for:
Profanity
Adult situations (no sex)
Violence
Smoking

Ps: I use Italics to identify the narrator's inner monologue as well as distinguish dream sequences and other breaks from the narrative's reality, in addition to using italics for emphasis.
