Destined, written from the perspective of the protagonist's diary, tells a touching story of Young, a naive boy who embarks on a thrilling adventure to find and save his missing friend, Pole. This is a journey to growth and self actualization as well as an unfolding event of mystery.
The story starts with a small village called Macondo, where Young and Pole grow up and become an intimate friend.One day,somehow,Pole disappears and a charred corpse,believed to be his,appears in the village.However,Young doesn't believe Pole is dead,so he follows the clues left by Pole and sets out to find him alone.
Meanwhile, Kaga, a deft government officer,suspects that Pole's death is linked to the Liberal party he has been investigating for a long time,so he also starts to inquire Pole's whereabouts.Young and Kaga both arrive in the city of Liverpool through their own reasoning,and a chance meeting on the train leads a reciprocal notice.After arriving,Young meets Pole successfully. Kaga, who fails to follow Young,also stumbles upon a suspicious factory turned out to be Liberal base later.
Soon afterwards,Young is surprised to find the supercilious leader of the Liberal Party,Axis,is Pole's father.Astonished by Axis's ferocious behavior,Young attempts to persuade Pole,who has completely lost his mind,out of revolution,and into going back with him.With no success and no way out,Young contacts Kaga and joins him in the fight against the Liberals.
In the story,Young is lonely and painful to save his best friend,but he is righteous and persistent to make a choice between friendship and morality.He insists that salvage the valuable friendship in his own way.Pole is always convinced that he has been destined to such a unpleasant ending for his name.
