May 21st Sunny
Just now, this trying and agonizing friend-seeking journey finally came to an end.
I prepared well this morning and chose the avenue leading to the church, in case I was ambushed again. I guess ... It was still early, so I found an empty step, sat down, and waited quietly. The gold tints of sun-streaked over those who came to pray, both the pious and the irreligious While I was wasting this tedious time. I heard the sound of peddling newspapers in the distance, with increasing frequency. A tattered boy, who looked 8 or 9 years old, approached me. " Would you like a newspaper sir? There might be something interesting. "
I was going to say no, but when I saw the boy's pleading eyes, I ordered one with mercy. He thanked appreciatively and continued to peddle away. Passing the time, I unwrapped the newspaper. A wave of astonishment swept over me when a message in the notification bar caught my eye.History goes back and forth, particularly in this month. I'm sorry for what I've done, and I will be waiting for you in the confessional your student, Saltive Jr
Yes, that's the code word Pole gave me.
In Sherlock Holmes, the story of the two of us had discussed so intensely together - The Abbey School. Little Saltier inside was abducted after being induced by someone to run away of his own free will his teacher,
Heidegger, went missing looking for Saltier. At the time of the event, I was shocked, recalled it was "May" I blurted out. It coincides with the present time. That's why " History goes back and forth, particularly in this month. "
I pretended to be calm and continued reading the paper, waiting for the longest bell to ring.
Finally, the moment came. The confessional was in an inconspicuous corner, and thankfully there was no one there. I went in and closed the door. It was a tiny space, barely big enough for one person, and the dense air was suffocating. A few rays of light from dark compartments lit up the dust that floated inside. Dull, oppressive eating me up.
"It's me!" A sudden whisper pulled me from the swallowing. Tears almost swelled from my eyes. " Listen. I know you are still in the dark, but this is an emergency, and we need to find a private, safe place we can talk. " Pole lowered his voice.
To my hotel room. You wait inside for me. I will back later." He intended to ask, but I cut him short, leaving the address slip and the room key. Pole followed me into the confessional after I left.
Indeed. I had another pressing stuff to deal with, and that is to see the man who has read my letter.
I booked in advance at another hotel some distance from where I am staying and headed for the location I had agreed on in the letter.
Someone sneaked into my cabin, and I already knew that. But he would never have thought that I had forged the letters myself. He doesn't know Pole's handwriting I was just doing it as a precaution, but I'm glad I was prepared. I'm not a stunning actor, but neither is he.
His sharp eyes pierced my pupils, cutting across my heart No one could fail to be suspicious of his threatening
The letter was in the right place, but my hair inside it had disappeared. What's more, the folds of the bag had changed markedly
I changed the place, and time that Pole and I agreed to meet in the letters which the man saw:
At the place where you left your first footprints in this city when the sun is ready to set, and on the day that all Christians pray, your goal will be achieved.
Your best friend.
So in the afternoon, I went to the train station as promised, and positioned myself in a conspicuous place so that I could be seen. Sure enough, a familiar figure loomed out of sight, and I began my performance, still poor, but at least better than last time. I waited until the sun went down, then pretended to be upset and left. and entered the hotel I had booked in advance.
After looking down the window of my room to confirm that he had followed me here, I left through the back door of the hotel and returned to where I am now.
Pole had told me everything, and all I have to do is trick the man figure I will take the train back to and finished the rest tasks.
Hope everything goes well. Still, be cautious, because the identity of the attacker that day is unknown.May 22nd windy
Last night I slept miserably, for Pole's face kept haunting me. Pale 'n startled, I've never seen him so out of his comfort zone before. And yes, last night I was tired asf, so I didn't want to get into any details, but now I have to recall it again or it'll be distracting. He told me that he slipped out of their hiding place without permission for good reasons. Pole, was not that talkative so when I saw that his speaking with hands trembling frantically, I knew he meant it.
He said his father eloped with him saying that they were wanted by the government and if caught, they both go to prison. However, every time Pole asked his dad what is going on or if he was a criminal, his dad always dodges it by saying it'll be over soon. Not wanting to let them fall, his dad warned him seriously not to give away any information and locked Pole in case he gets into trouble Pole being Pole, obviously didn't favor the idea and now at least he's got a way out. As cautious as he looked, he didn't want me to get into any trouble, so he fled the motel before I had the opportunity to exchange some words. One thing is for sure though, some guy is after me and they wanted me bad. Angrily stood as I packed myself to go back to that church.
The deep green pool of the Mersey River was still in the late afternoon Already the sun had left the valley to climb up the hilltop of the Liverpool Mountain, and the hilltops were rosy in the sun. But amid the mottled sycamores, a pleasant shade had fallen.
Stepping on those morsels of rocks, I trudged my way up the path. Imperfection along with emptiness struck me unpleasantly, but easier to be cautious. On arriving at that same place, the impatient enemy burst the door in half with a greedy face, ready to bite me to death.
Luckily, panic didn't own me this time, for I grabbed an iron bar before Leaving the motel. The opponent swung his knife at me furiously, leaning forward to land the contact. I tried crouching and landed a long bump on his stomach, but he immediately caught my bar and snapped it away. A loud scream came out of that grumpy mouth, so did the evil smile. Without hesitation, he ran towards me and kept on stabbing until, in a heartbeat, I kicked off his knife and gave him a wrestler head bump, knocking his nose to red. I didn't want to take his life so brutally even though the man was clearly taking mine. I had to figure out the reason though. Therefore, the same first thing I did was pick his pocket. Found packs of cigars, big plastic bags (Maybe for kid-napping me I dunno), and a distinctive ring, that has a picture on it too, supposed to be a symbol of a clan or some shit? Is x anonymous assassin a pop culture these days, what the hell is going on.? still no IDs, what's wore worse? It appeared that the cop on the train was still following me. "Put your hands up kiddo, you know what you getting yourself into? You killed that man, with a knife?"
" No .... ugh, please officer, he um ... attacked me or I guess he fainted, I meant no harm, I didn't even know him. " I denied embarrassedly.
" Oh, really? I've seen better lies than that. You're not getting anywhere this time. No No, not on my watch. You really tryna convince me that when you just picked his pocket right in my face, get in my car now, I'll get you to where you belong. " Pushing me rudely into his car.
I obeyed and he drove me to a private accusation room where he threw me some questions in queue. I said: " Officer, you work alone yeah? Impressive to me. " I chuckled in comfort.
"I used to be a police officer, their minds work way slower, so I offered to investigate alone, but I still work for'em since I got them badges. So why don't you tell me why did you run away from your family to Liverpool to knock two heads down, typical bad boy criminal wanna-be to me." Said with eyes of prestige.
"Bro, It's not as what you saw, I was just .... at least they were the ones tryna kill me, for what reason I can't tell " I stroked mid-way.
"But It's clear that you have something to do with Pole's death or perhaps I could say -disappearance. " " Why ... why you say that? " I was shocked.
" I'm a man of logic, and I don't believe dead person writes letters, come on you know what I'm talking about, don't even attempt to trick me. Tell me everything! " He yelled in a harsh voice.
I kept silent, pondering.
"You don't wanna say, fine, I'll give you a second chance. You're extremely lucky that I'm the one investigating this case. I ain't no fools, I knew you were a good person. That guy-had no ID with him and the knife had ash in pair with his fingertips. He must have been working in that factory I could smell it. The nails stuck the same form of powder and glitter. And you were unintentional with the attack cuz I've been following you the whole damn time. Give that scene to any other cop and you'll be in jail in no time." He looked keen when he said that.
"But I'm only a 17-year-old boy" I tried in defense.
" Truths don't lie my friend, ages are never the sacrificial lamb in my book. I saved your ass and I know you're no dummy, so hand in what you've got maybe we work as a team, HoHo ... " He couldn't believe he was saying that and chuckled.
" I have nothing to say, I told you I don't know what Pole guy you're talking about, I was just having bad days and homeless guys just kept attacking me, leave me the damn alone! "
"All the letters and evidence are in powerful hands right now, you don't play my game, then I post the case to the official, to which you'll be major suspect of kid-napping Pole, you get to choose your side. " he grinned.
"Is this a cop blackmail ?" I responded sarcastically.
"Welp, at least Age is not in your side now. " He left, locking the door.
After an hour he came back still wearing that serious face.
" Alright, you got me. " I gave in, telling him most of the truth but carefully ignoring the part about Pole's dad, I just said all I know was Pole is still alive and under control, etc.
"We work together cuz I seriously want to find out who is doing this. " "Could be the Liberals. "
"what Liberal are you talking about? " " Just sayin', I've taken a close watch at their factory for couple days now and I guarantee what they're doing is no good. I still gotta confirm things about them. It could be not even their headquarter, maybe just a branch, maybe .... you were really just unlucky and all that coincidences for nothing .... " He's voice steadily decreased to silence.
"No it can't be Pole could never be so frustrated if he was just on a trip. " "Welp, there's definately, possibilities, but the sad thing is that we got nothing on'em, no IDs, no passports no nothing hold on, that was why you were picking pockets, whatchu got?" I quickly replied all I got was a ring, It must represent something if you were them while killing someone right? lol.
Now that I take a close look at it, it has the shape of a perfect triangle. On it was a tombstone picture with the words " MKP".), they love to play codes, don't they? "
"It could be the permission ring to enter the headquarter at least have nothing to do with the factory I think. " the officer suggested, "I think we're very close to the truth, I'll try to figure out that code and we'll meet at the Whisky Business Bar at 2 in case we got more information, deal? "
" deal. "
And I went back to my motel, " First time not followed for a long time ... " I mumbled sarcastically
