They arrive just as the women are preparing to celebrate the Feast of Lupercalia, and provide vital 'fresh blood' to aid in the ceremonies. Part of the Asylum series, this story reveals the source of the mysterious hold Kirsty has over Warren. A long, long time ago, twin sisters ruled the world. The queens Ravenna and Freya. Evil women with the powers of fire and ice. When they died, their spirits remained on earth, forced to travel among the living, yet unseen. Unfortunately for Azalea and Periwinkle Potter, on the night of their birth a rare star constellation enabled Freya and Ravenna to enter the Potter twins' bodies. For many years, these spirits are dormant, yet allow Azalea to wield the power of fire, while Periwinkle has the control over ice. The Potter twins have enough to deal with, since they are being labeled "The Twins Who Lived". How are they supposed to hide these powers from the watchful eyes of the Wizarding World and of their suspicious Potions Professor Severus Snape? Countless assignments, staying on school grounds, terribly-made food. But, for three sixth-graders of Northern Country Boarding School, that isn't even close to hell. They discover tunnels running underneath the school, as well as mysterious spellbooks and journals from the late 50s. On the blue moon of Halloween, the first one since 1955, they decide to do something dangerous; cast a spell. Little do they know that their curiosity is, indeed dangerous. "It's cold." The story I'm about to tell you is probably the least believable and most outrageous one out there, but I need you to hear me out on this. I was once a normal girl. Once, like, once upon a time, but this isn't a fairytale with a damsel in distress. For the most part I was happy, living in a foster home with my adoptive parents and four foster siblings who I didn't always agree with, but for the most part, life was good. All of that changed when some things in the house happened, I won't tell you the details, but I got very...unstable. I couldn't trust anyone and eventually that ticking time bomb exploded in the most colossal of ways. I ended up in what I thought was a hospital while my entire family ended up dead. From there on, I learned about something called the PASCI foundation. PASCI of course being an acronym for Paranormal And Supernatural Containment Initiative. They worked to collect people like me who were either super powered, monsters, or unexplainable phenomenon such as ghosts and people who love country music. I thought they were trying to help me. They told me I would do great things, and that I'd be such a great asset to have on the team. For the first time since I could remember, I felt wanted, and in a way, loved.
